KCSE timetable 2022: dates, registration, and other details

The KCSE timetable for 2022 is already out. Did you know that rehearsals will begin on Friday 25th February 2022? Englishmen said, "make your hay while the sun shines." Therefore, start checking your exam dates as early as now. Meanwhile, teachers are advised to ensure all candidates carefully read the exam's instructions and guidelines and adhere to them. They should also make candidates aware of exam irregularities or misconduct penalties.

Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) replaced the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) exams with the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) as the entrance requirement for Kenyan public and private universities in 1989. Hence, both exams were held concurrently that year.

KCSE timetable in 2022

KCSE candidates register online by uploading their photos and other details on the KNEC website. Registration for 2021/22 candidates closed on 14th August 2021. KCSE had a minimum of 10 subjects but was reviewed twice to reach the current minimum of 7. These subjects are divided into five groups:

KUCCPS announced applications' dates as 4th January 2022 to 31st March 2022. The minimum KCSE exams pass mark for Kenyan universities is grade C+. Hence, students who attain lower than this will join tertiary institutions for non-degree courses.
